On Thursday, 30 April, the Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE) ended the day in a muted decline ahead of a public holiday. The flagship MASI index slipped 0.62 % to 18,583.53 points, pulling its year‑to‑date performance to –1.39 %. Over the past week, the metric has shed 1.23 %. The MASI 20, representing the market’s largest caps, fell 0.84 % to 1,356.02 points.

Trading activity was limited, with a total volume of 215.8 million dirhams. Managem led the volume at 26 million dirhams, trading at 13,800 dirhams a share after an intraday peak of 13,970. Attijariwafa Bank followed closely, with 25 million dirhams traded at 696.00 dirhams per share. The market’s overall capitalization dropped to 1.063 trillion dirhams.

Among the day’s movers, Ennakl posted the biggest gain, up 8.44 % to 56.90 dirhams, while Disway added 3.73 % to 802.90 dirhams. Conversely, Microdata suffered the steepest decline, down 9.87 % to 676.00 dirhams.

Despite the weekly dip,MASI recorded a robust 8.29 % gain for the month of April, signaling resilience amid broader market volatility.
