First Half 2026 Sees Record Growth in Morocco’s New‑Car Market
In June 2026, the Moroccan new‑vehicle market continued its upward trajectory, registering 27,193 units sold – a 16.7 % increase over June 2025. The cumulative six‑month figure reached 131,748 cars, up 17.6 % year‑on‑year, confirming the sector’s strong momentum after a historic 2025 that saw 235,372 units transferred.
Passenger cars (VP) led the surge, delivering 24,649 units in June (+15.7 %) and a total of 116,802 units in the first half, matching the 17.6 % growth recorded in the same period last year. Light commercial vehicles (VUL) also performed strongly, with June sales of 2,544 units (+27.9 %) and a half‑year total of 14,946 – a 17.5 % rise over June 2025. VULs now account for 11.3 % of the overall market, underscoring renewed corporate investment.
Given the sustained pace, analysts expect the 2026 year‑end total to set a new record for new‑car registrations in Morocco.
