Strategic Investment to Accelerate Growth

Africa Feed & Food (AFF) has announced a major investment agreement with RNAF III, a North African investment fund managed by RMBV, and Proparco, the private sector arm of the French Development Agency. The deal involves a joint minority stake in the company's capital, marking a pivotal step in AFF's development strategy.

The investment, made exclusively through a capital increase without the sale of existing shares, allows AFF to preserve family control while partnering with two prominent institutional investors. Regulatory approvals, including from the Competition Council, are still pending.

Funds Dedicated to Industrial and International Expansion

The 850 million dirhams raised will be fully allocated to strengthening industrial capabilities and accelerating AFF's growth strategy, which focuses on three main areas: enhancing core operations in Morocco, investing in new complementary agri-food segments, and accelerating expansion in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Mali, Mauritania, and Senegal.

In addition to financial support, this transaction signals a shift toward greater institutional transformation within AFF. The entry of private equity and development finance institutions is expected to bolster governance, leadership structures, and transparency standards.

Recognition of AFF's Strong Business Model

The involvement of RMBV and Proparco underscores the strength and resilience of AFF's business model, as well as its growth potential both in Morocco and across sub-Saharan Africa. This investment reinforces AFF's strategy of vertical integration, territorial anchoring, and value creation across the agri-food value chain.
