World Bank Upgrades Morocco's 2026 GDP Forecast to 4.4% Thanks to Private‑Sector Reforms
The World Bank’s latest Global Economic Prospects report highlights that Morocco’s regulatory overhaul aimed at energising the private sector could deliver a stronger‑than‑expected boost to GDP, formalisation and job creation. With a revised 2026 growth projection of **4.4 %**, the outlook reflects improved agricultural conditions, healthier external balances and tighter fiscal policies. The institution also notes a modest slowdown in agriculture and manufacturing, a more measured rise in employment, and a global growth slowdown to 2.6 % in 2026 before a slight rebound in 2027.
