Morocco’s collective investment schemes posted a modest weekly gain, with net assets reaching 851.07 billion dirhams as of 11 September 2026. This was 7.37 billion dirhams higher than the 843.70 billion recorded on 4 September.
Money-market funds lead the weekly gain
- Medium- and long-term bond funds (OMLT): Remained the largest category at 356.56 billion dirhams, although assets declined by 0.50 billion from the previous week.
- Money-market funds: Recorded the strongest increase, rising 7.06 billion dirhams to 148.82 billion.
- Short-term bond funds (OCT): Increased by 1.64 billion dirhams to 142.43 billion.
- Equity funds: Fell by 0.46 billion dirhams to 77.84 billion.
- Diversified funds: Declined by 0.59 billion dirhams to 112.49 billion.
What the fund flows indicate
The overall increase was overwhelmingly driven by money-market products, while OMLT funds retained their leading position despite a slight contraction. The pullback in equity and diversified mandates points to a cautious mix of investor preferences rather than broad-based demand for risk assets.
For asset managers, the net inflow is a positive operating signal. However, the divergence between fund categories and the absence of company-level data mean the figures provide no clear directional impact for equities or listed firms.
