Tourism Revenue Breaks 2024 Forecast Early

At the close of October 2025, Morocco recorded 113 billion dirhams in travel‑related earnings, already surpassing the total expected for the entire 2024 calendar year. The rapid climb adds more than 16 billion dirhams – a +17 % gain compared with October 2024.

The jump is primarily driven by a 14 % increase in tourist arrivals during the same period, reflecting the country’s successful diversification of its tourism product to meet evolving visitor preferences.

Government Perspective

Fatim‑Zahra Ammor, Morocco’s Minister of Tourism, Artisanry and the Social Economy, stated: “These results confirm our conviction that we do not chase figures for their own sake. What we aim for is growth that converts into higher foreign‑exchange earnings, more economic activity and more jobs for Moroccans. We will cement this trajectory starting in 2026.”

  • Key numbers: 113 bn DH total revenue, +16 bn DH YoY, +14 % arrivals.
  • Strategic focus: Diversify tourism offers, boost foreign‑exchange income, create jobs.
