Agreement Details

On 20 May 2026, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) and the Superior Council of the Judicial Power (CSPJ) signed a framework agreement at the CSPJ headquarters in Rabat. The pact, signed by CSPJ Delegate President M. M'hammed Abdenabaoui and AMMC Chairman M. Tarik Senhaji, aims to deepen institutional cooperation through expertise exchange, specialised legal training, research support, and capacity‑building in capital‑markets, litigation and judicial procedures.

Key Cooperation Areas

  • Training and workshops on combating securities offences, money‑laundering and terrorist financing, and the latest trends in financial crime.
  • Seminars and study days focused on offences linked to financial instruments and on legal implications of new technologies.
  • Transparency initiatives to improve the integrity of Morocco’s financial markets.
  • Document exchange of reports and scientific studies in line with existing procedures.
  • Joint research on financial legislation and capital‑market regulations.

Why It Matters

The collaboration underscores the complementary missions of the two bodies in protecting investments and safeguarding financial integrity. By fostering a multidimensional partnership, the agreement is expected to boost the dynamism of Morocco’s capital market, which is increasingly used to finance the economy. The synergy between CSPJ and AMMC is therefore viewed as essential for safeguarding investors’ savings placed in financial instruments.
