Allianz Trade Names Francis Jespers as CEO for Morocco Operations

On March 26, 2026, Allianz Trade announced the appointment of Francis Jespers as Chief Executive Officer for its Morocco business, effective March 1, 2026. Jespers succeeds Stéphane Rutili, who retired after a distinguished career with the Group.\n\nJespers brings over three decades of experience within Allianz Trade, having held senior roles across Europe, including CEO positions in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Central and Eastern Europe. He will report directly to Luca Burrafato, CEO of Allianz Trade for the MMEA region, and will be based in Casablanca.

Allianz Trade Announces Leadership Change in Morocco

On March 26, 2026, Allianz Trade revealed that Francis Jespers will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer for its Moroccan operations, starting March 1, 2026. He takes over from Stéphane Rutili, who has decided to retire after a long and successful tenure within the Allianz Group.

Jespers, currently the Program Director for Allianz Trade’s Northern Europe region, joins the Morocco team with more than 30 years of international experience. After joining the company in 1990 as a Sales Account Manager, he progressed through various leadership posts in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Central and Eastern Europe, where he served as CEO. Throughout his career, he has been recognised for driving commercial performance, strengthening governance, and managing multicultural teams in complex markets.

He holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Université Catholique de Louvain and is fluent in Dutch, French, English, and German. Based in Casablanca, Jespers will report directly to Luca Burrafato, CEO of Allianz Trade for the MMEA (Middle East, Mediterranean, and Africa) region.

Luca Burrafato welcomed the appointment, stating: "I am delighted to welcome Francis Jespers to his new role in Morocco. His deep knowledge of our business, proven international leadership, and strong track record in managing change make him the ideal candidate to lead our operations in the country and reinforce our presence in the region." He also thanked Stéphane Rutili for his years of service and wished him a fulfilling retirement.
