CIH Bank H1 2026 Results: Net Profit Rises 3.3% as Deposits and Credits Surge Double Digits
CIH Bank delivered a solid first half of 2026, with consolidated net profit reaching 695.4 million dirhams, up 3.3% year-on-year. Deposits jumped 14% and credit exposure grew 13.3%, reflecting strong commercial momentum.

Strong Half-Year Performance Across Key Metrics
CIH Bank closed the first half of 2026 with consolidated net profit of 695.4 million dirhams, representing a 3.3% year-on-year increase compared to 673.4 MDH in H1 2025. Net profit attributable to the parent company reached 617 MDH, up 0.3%.
Consolidated net banking income (PNB) came in at 2.826 billion dirhams, up 2.8%, driven primarily by a 20.3% improvement in net interest income and a 24.9% rise in net commission income. On a standalone basis, CIH Bank's PNB reached 2.277 MMDH, gaining 1.2%.
Commercial Activity Accelerates
Customer deposits surged 14% year-on-year to 102.2 billion dirhams, with a net collection of 12.5 MMDH. Demand deposits now account for 87% of the total, growing 17.6%. Credit exposure expanded 13.3% to 119 MMDH consolidated, with CIH Bank recording 81.9 MMDH, Sofac at 24.6 MMDH and Umnia Bank at 12.5 MMDH.
Risk Management and Strategic Initiatives
The consolidated cost of risk rose modestly to 590.2 MDH (+1.4%), while the standalone cost fell sharply by 32.6% to 308.3 MDH. The group issued a 750 MDH subordinated perpetual bond to strengthen its capital base and continued deploying its "Impulse 2030" strategy, opening 7 new branches and adding 140 ATMs — bringing the network to 444 branches and 1,361 ATMs.
Outlook
The board of directors, chaired by Lotfi Sekkat, validated the accounts on September 16 and expressed full confidence in the group's second-half prospects.
