BCP and Réseau Entreprendre Maroc Strengthen Partnership to Fuel Entrepreneurial Growth
The Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) and Réseau Entreprendre Maroc (REM) have formalized a cooperation agreement designed to provide comprehensive support to aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs across Morocco. The ceremony was attended by Naziha Belkeziz, Chairperson and CEO of the BCP Group, Idriss Bensmail, CEO of BCP's Retail Banking division, and Wafa Belmaachi, President of Réseau Entreprendre Maroc.
Under the terms of this partnership, entrepreneurs selected by REM will benefit from an integrated support ecosystem that spans mentoring, entrepreneurial expertise, project structuring assistance, financing solutions, and tailored banking services at every stage of business development.
How the Partnership Works
Réseau Entreprendre Maroc operates through its acclaimed START program, which guides entrepreneurs from the early maturation of their business idea all the way through to sustainable growth. The program's cornerstone includes personalized mentoring by experienced business leaders and the provision of honor loans — a distinctive financial instrument that provides seed capital without traditional collateral requirements.
BCP will complement this framework by facilitating access to appropriate financing products and banking services for REM beneficiaries. The bank will also leverage synergies with its own Fondation Création d'Entreprise (Enterprise Creation Foundation) to maximize the support provided to entrepreneurs.
Focus on Very Small Enterprises and Financial Inclusion
A central objective of this alliance is to bridge the persistent gap between the mentoring phase and the critical financing stage — a transition that often proves decisive for entrepreneurs launching or scaling their ventures. The agreement places particular emphasis on supporting the creation and expansion of very small enterprises (TPE) and advancing financial inclusion among young Moroccan entrepreneurs, who frequently face barriers to traditional banking services.
