Casablanca Stock Exchange Slides Tuesday as MASI Falls 1.79%
The Casablanca market failed to sustain the upside seen the day before. On Tuesday the MASI index slipped 1.79% to 18,583.39 points, widening its year‑to‑date decline to 1.40%. Trading activity remained thin, with the top losers led by Stokvis and the SMI, while Eqdom posted the strongest gain.

Morning Overview
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened on a downtrend on Tuesday, unable to extend the modest rally recorded on Monday. The benchmark MASI slipped 1.79% to close at 18,583.39 points, leaving the index 1.40% below its start‑of‑year level.
Broad‑Market Performance
The MASI‑20, which tracks the most liquid caps, also ended in negative territory, down 1.33% at 1,317.69 points and now down 11.31% YTD.
Trading Volume
Overall turnover remained modest at MAD 334 million. The most actively traded security was CMT, which saw MAD 111 million exchange but fell 5.44% to MAD 5,200.
