ACAPS Launches Financial Education Initiatives for Youth
The Moroccan Financial Supervisory Authority (ACAPS) is actively promoting financial literacy among young people through innovative educational programs aligned with Global Money Week. This year's campaign, themed 'Let's Talk About Money,' features a new Spotify podcast series, an interactive educational booklet, and a radio game designed to make financial concepts accessible and engaging for youth.
These initiatives aim to equip young Moroccans with essential money management skills and informed decision-making abilities. The ACAPS Spotify podcast series will feature expert interviews that demystify complex financial concepts, making them accessible to a broad audience. The accompanying educational booklet, 'Understanding Insurance,' uses playful, interactive methods to teach basic insurance principles to young learners.
Additionally, ACAPS has developed an interactive radio game broadcast on two youth-focused channels. This game aims to enhance understanding of insurance and social security while supporting informed decision-making, with participants having the opportunity to win prizes. Educational sessions will also be held in high schools and higher education institutions to familiarize students with fundamental insurance principles and their practical applications in daily life.
These efforts align with Morocco's national strategy for financial education, led by the Moroccan Financial Education Foundation (FMEF), and contribute to the international Global Money Week initiative spearheaded by the OECD's International Network on Financial Education (INFE). The goal is to provide youth with the knowledge, skills, and frameworks necessary for responsible financial decision-making.
