Moroccan Bank Deposits Jump 8.6% YoY to DH1.35 trillion by End‑January 2026
Bank Al‑Maghrib’s latest “Credits‑Deposits” dashboard shows that total deposits with Moroccan banks reached DH1,348.7 billion at the close of January 2026 – an 8.6 % increase over the same period last year. Household savings grew 7.2 % to DH983.9 billion, while private non‑financial corporations posted a 12.8 % surge to DH253.1 billion. The central bank also reported a dip in the 6‑month term‑deposit rate to 2.19 % and a modest rise in the 12‑month rate to 2.76 %, with the minimum savings‑account rate set at 1.61 % for the first half of 2026.
