Morocco's leading private healthcare group Akdital is entering a transformative phase as it balances domestic expansion with its first foray into international markets. In an exclusive interview, Deputy CEO Ilyas El Harti outlined the group's performance during the first half of 2026 and provided insights into upcoming openings that will mark the company's geographic diversification.

Strong H1 2026 Performance Driven by Recent Openings

When asked about the group's first-half activity, El Harti highlighted the significant contribution from facilities inaugurated in late 2025. "The first half of 2026 benefited from the ramp-up of establishments opened during the second half of 2025, particularly in Nador, Oujda, and Rabat, which recorded their first full semester of operations," he explained. Facilities opened in 2024 and earlier also continued their upward trajectory, contributing to overall growth.

A notable development during this period was the launch of Casablanca's first AKDITAL Prime establishment. This premium healthcare concept demonstrated immediate market acceptance. "From its very first weeks of operation, it registered strong demand for care services, confirming the relevance of this new concept," El Harti noted. The facility's continued ramp-up is expected to significantly boost revenues in the Casablanca region during the second half of 2026.

Ambitious Domestic Pipeline for H2 2026 and Early 2027

The expansion momentum shows no signs of slowing. El Harti disclosed that the group is actively advancing four development projects: new facilities in Al Hoceïma, Larache, and Khémisset, along with an expansion of the existing Marrakech establishment. These projects are scheduled to come online progressively between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027, further strengthening Akdital's national footprint.

Saudi Arabia: The Gateway to International Growth

Perhaps the most significant strategic milestone on the horizon is Akdital's international debut. El Harti confirmed that the group is actively preparing to open its first two establishments in Saudi Arabia under the AKDITAL brand, located in Riyadh and Mecca. "These openings will mark a major strategic milestone as they will generate the group's first international revenues and are expected to contribute to turnover starting in the second half of 2026," he emphasized.

This move into the Saudi market represents a carefully planned expansion into one of the Gulf region's most dynamic healthcare sectors, positioning Akdital for regional growth beyond its Moroccan home market.

Growth Trajectory Continues

With a 19% year-on-year revenue increase in the first half of 2026, Akdital has demonstrated robust operational execution. The combination of maturing domestic facilities, the successful AKDITAL Prime concept, and imminent international revenue streams positions the group for sustained growth through 2026 and beyond.
