CASABLANCA STOCK EXCHANGE: MASI Surges 2.7% on Middle‑East Peace Hopes and Falling Oil Prices
Risk appetite returned to the Casablanca Stock Exchange on Monday as investors rallied behind expectations of a Middle‑East peace deal and a pull‑back in oil prices. The MASI index jumped 2.73% to 18,871.53 points, wiping out its year‑to‑date losses and leaving the market up 0.13% for the year. The broader MASI‑20 basket also rallied, gaining 2.16% to 1,351.71 points, while trading volume topped 515 million MAD, led by Ciments du Maroc and a spectacular surge in Managem shares.

At the close, the MASI index surged 2.73% to 18,871.53 points, erasing all year‑to‑date losses and delivering a modest +0.13% gain since the start of 2026.
MASI‑20 Basket
The MASI‑20 basket, which tracks the leading Moroccan equities, also posted a strong finish, rising 2.16% to 1,351.71 points.
Trading Volume
Overall trading activity was robust, with a total turnover of 515 million MAD. The most active stock was Ciments du Maroc, accounting for 276 million MAD of the volume and closing up 4.44% at 1,671 MAD.

- Managem rallied 9.97% to 16,600 MAD, hitting a historic high and delivering the session’s best performance on a volume of 52 million MAD. Since the start of the year, the stock is up roughly 159.38%.
