Morocco’s High Commission for Planning Teams Up with France’s INSEE to Boost Territorial Statistics
On July 9, 2026, the Moroccan High Commission for Planning (HCP) and France’s National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) signed a partnership in Paris. Statements from the signatories
Mohammed Addi, regional director of the HCP for the Tanger‑Tetouan‑Al Hoceima region, praised the close relationship with INSEE Pays de la Loire and called the convention a “structuring step” for regional statistics. He also invited INSEE teams, both central and regional, to the Data‑Territories Forum scheduled for 15 December 2026 in Tangier.
Romain Lesur, INSEE’s regional director for Pays de la Loire, reiterated his institute’s commitment to support the HCP’s statistical modernisation agenda, highlighting the mutual benefits for both regions.
