Casablanca Stock Exchange MASI Holds Ground After Monday’s 4.46% Surge

MASI Index Ends Slightly Higher After Monday’s Rally
The Casablanca Stock Exchange’s benchmark MASI index closed Tuesday with a modest gain of 0.15%, standing at 18,782.58 points. After hitting a low of 18,635.04 points earlier in the session, the index trimmed its annual underperformance to -0.34%.
Trading activity slowed considerably compared with Monday’s frantic pace. Total turnover on the main market fell to 266 million MAD, signalling a more cautious mood among investors.
Top Movers
- Addoha (CSEMA:ADD) led the trading floor with approximately 47 million MAD in volume, posting a 4.86% price increase to 36.70 MAD.
- RDS (CSEMA:RDS) handled about 33 million MAD of trades, climbing 2.83% to 178 MAD.
- Compagnie Minière de Touissit (CSEMA:CMT) saw 28 million MAD in transactions and rose 1.90% to 5,101 MAD.
The overall market capitalisation now stands at roughly 1,079 billion MAD.
