Moroccan Manufacturing Output Climbs 2.2% YoY in Q3 2025 – Sector Highlights
The High Commission for Planning (HCP) announced that Morocco’s manufacturing production index, excluding oil refining, grew by 2.2% in the third quarter of 2025 compared with the same period a year earlier. The gain was led by strong performances in food, non‑metallic minerals, chemicals, automotive, rubber‑and‑plastic and transport equipment, while tobacco, pharmaceuticals and metal‑related sectors saw notable declines. Extractive industries and electricity generation also posted solid year‑on‑year improvements.

Overall Growth
The High Commission for Planning (HCP) reported that the manufacturing production index – excluding petroleum refining – rose **2.2 %** in Q3 2025 versus the same quarter last year.

The production index for extractive industries climbed **7.4 %**, driven by a 7.5 % rise in miscellaneous extractive products and a 3.2 % increase in metallic minerals. Electricity generation also posted a healthy **6.4 %** gain.
