TGCC Joins Bid to Upgrade Agadir's Grand Stadium Ahead of Morocco's 2030 World Cup Push

As Morocco prepares its bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, two firms – TGCC and Moussadak Bouchta – have been shortlisted for the upgrade of the Grand Stade d'Agadir. Morocco is intensifying its preparations for a 2030 FIFA World Cup bid, and the Grand Stade d'Agadir is at the centre of the effort. According to the public procurement portal, two companies have been invited to submit proposals for the stadium’s upgrade:

  • TGCC
  • Moussadak Bouchta

The tender, referenced 24/2026, concerns lot 1, which includes a wide range of works such as demolition, structural works, waterproofing, cladding, false ceilings, joinery and painting. The deadline for receipt of bids was set for 29 June 2026 at 10:00 AM.

At the time of reporting, the administrative envelopes of both bidders have been opened, but the technical and financial envelopes remain marked as closed, indicating that the evaluation process is still underway.

Stakeholders will be watching closely as the selection progresses, given the potential impact on the construction sector and Morocco’s broader ambitions to showcase its sporting infrastructure on the global stage.
