Program Overview
BMCE Capital launched the CAP’AI Reverse by BK open‑innovation programme in the first half of 2026, aiming to embed artificial intelligence at the heart of its operations. Building on the success of the 2025 CAP’AI by BK edition, the new edition focused on rapid activation: turning concrete business needs into deployable AI solutions.
Reverse Pitch Methodology
In a novel Reverse Pitch approach, internal business units presented their strategic use‑cases to a curated ecosystem of AI‑focused startups and fintechs. This format ensured that external innovation was tightly aligned with BMCE Capital’s operational priorities, accelerating the path from idea to implementation.
Key Focus Areas
The competition centred on three strategic pillars:
- Decision & Market Performance Optimisation
- Data‑Enhanced Customer Experience
- Operational Excellence driven by Data & AI
Participation and Selection
The call for projects attracted 62 qualified applications. From this pool, 21 startups and fintechs were invited to the Reverse Pitch Day and an intensive hackathon. Six finalists showcased their solutions before a jury composed of BMCE Capital’s Executive Committee members.
Winners
Three startups emerged as winners and will now collaborate with BMCE Capital’s business and digital teams:
- INVIRTUS – a smart‑sourcing platform that uses AI to automate candidate pre‑screening and match talent to the most relevant job profiles.
- ProximaReg – a shared AI solution that strengthens compliance, internal controls and risk management by automating checks and flagging anomalies.
- ID&A TECH – an AI "Co‑pilot" that supports investment decisions with enriched analyses, market forecasts and evidence‑based recommendations.
The jury’s special mention went to IT Global Services for its predictive‑liquidity use‑case.
Strategic Impact
CAP’AI Reverse by BK demonstrates BMCE Capital’s commitment to a long‑term, co‑innovation model that brings together startups, experts and internal teams. The programme complements other Group initiatives such as Cap’INov, Cap’Tech, Cap’Women and the original CAP’AI by BK, reinforcing the bank’s ability to anticipate financial‑sector shifts and to harness AI‑driven value for clients.
Looking Ahead
By institutionalising AI across its core activities, BMCE Capital positions itself to respond more quickly to market changes, improve operational efficiency and deliver richer, data‑driven experiences to its customers.
