Morocco’s Central Bank Reports Record 496.8 bn Dirham Reserves as of July 24, 2026

Bank Al‑Maghrib said that official foreign‑exchange reserves reached 496.8 billion dirhams on 24 July, a 22.3 % increase year‑on‑year. The dirham stayed almost flat against the US dollar and the euro during the week of 23‑29 July, and no FX bidding operations were carried out. Central‑bank interventions averaged 139.5 bn dirhams per day, while inter‑bank market turnover was 4.3 bn dirhams with the overnight rate at 2.25 %.

The Moroccan dirham remained almost unchanged against both the US dollar and the euro throughout the week.

No foreign‑exchange bidding operation was carried out during this period, according to the latest weekly indicators bulletin from Bank Al‑Maghrib.
