TAMWILCOM Facilitates Nearly 24 Billion Dirhams in Business Financing During H1 2026
Morocco's guarantee institution TAMWILCOM reported strong performance in the first half of 2026, facilitating 23.9 billion dirhams in financing through its guarantee mechanisms. The institution supported over 31,500 credit operations, primarily benefiting private enterprises and SMEs. These results align with TAMWILCOM's strategic roadmap JOSSOUR 2030, demonstrating its commitment to improving access to finance across Morocco's business ecosystem.

TAMWILCOM's Board of Directors convened on Tuesday, September 29 in Rabat to review the institution's first-half 2026 performance and financial results through June. The meeting also approved the budget allocation for fiscal year 2027.
Strong First-Half Performance Across Multiple Segments
The institution's mid-year metrics reveal that TAMWILCOM facilitated 23.9 billion dirhams in total financing, representing 14.7 billion dirhams in commitments across more than 31,500 credit operations. Private enterprises accounted for the lion's share of beneficiaries, with nearly 26,000 operations. These figures underscore TAMWILCOM's role in expanding credit access, consistent with its strategic blueprint JOSSOUR 2030.
Core Business: Private Enterprise Guarantees
TAMWILCOM's primary activity—providing guarantees for private sector businesses—mobilized nearly 20 billion dirhams in credits during H1 2026. Commitments in this segment reached 11.5 billion dirhams, demonstrating robust demand for credit enhancement services.
Micro and Small Business Support
Very small enterprises and microenterprises represented a significant component of TAMWILCOM's intervention strategy. Through the Damane Express program, the institution guaranteed over 20,000 credits totaling 2.7 billion dirhams, providing crucial access to capital for Morocco's smallest businesses.
SME Financing Mechanisms
Supporting SME operations remains a cornerstone of TAMWILCOM's mission. The Damane Atassyir mechanism, designed to guarantee working capital credits, facilitated 14.5 billion dirhams in financing during the period, with corresponding commitments of 7.9 billion dirhams.
Business investment financing received support through Damane Istitmar, which covered 2.4 billion dirhams in credits backed by 1.3 billion dirhams in commitments.
Public Sector Support and Islamic Finance
TAMWILCOM continued its intervention supporting public establishments and enterprises, guaranteeing financing instruments mobilized from domestic and international lenders. This segment generated 2 billion dirhams in commitments during the first half.
The participatory finance window DAAMA TAMWIL demonstrated sustained momentum, with financing volumes exceeding 400 million dirhams for businesses—a 72% increase compared to the first half of 2025.
Financial Performance
The Board examined accounts closed as of June 30, 2026. TAMWILCOM's overall first-half activity generated a Net Banking Income of 413 million dirhams and Net Profit of 198 million dirhams, reflecting the institution's solid financial health.
