Moroccan Cement Market Faces Seasonal Decline

According to Morocco's Ministry of territorial planning and urban development, cement deliveries reached 3.011 million tons by late March 2026, marking an 10.95% annual decrease.

Segment breakdown shows distribution channels leading the decline at 13.26%, followed by precast concrete (809.78 tons) and ready-mix concrete (1.573 million tons). Infrastructure projects maintained 212,222 tons while civil works production (95,753 tons) showed resilience.

However, March 2026 recorded a 2.53% month-over-month increase (919,176 tons) compared to March 2025, suggesting potential recovery momentum in Q2.

This trend adds to economic concerns with preliminary signs of weakening demand in construction-related sectors.
