On September 15, 2026, Banque Centrale Populaire Group (BCP) received the Best Bank for Entrepreneurship and TPE Development in Morocco for 2026 award from the World Union of Arab Bankers during the Arab Banks Awards in Istanbul.

The international recognition rewards the group’s sustained work with entrepreneurs and very small enterprises in Morocco, and highlights a proactive approach that combines banking solutions with practical support close to local business communities.

A strengthened support model for TPEs

BCP has accelerated the rollout of its new TPE model, designed to bring together financing, advisory services and field-level accompaniment in a single, territory-focused approach. The model also draws on three decades of experience from the Fondation Création d’Entreprises, which provides non-financial services aimed at helping project leaders reduce risk and build more resilient businesses.

  • Access to finance: tailored banking support for very small enterprises and project creators.
  • Business advisory: guidance to improve business planning, operations and development prospects.
  • Local proximity: support delivered across Moroccan regions to stay close to entrepreneurs’ needs.

Nearly 21,000 beneficiaries supported in seven months

During the first seven months of 2026, close to 21,000 beneficiaries were accompanied by the foundation. Its scope extends beyond start-up creation, covering targeted assistance for Moroccans Living Abroad with investment projects, as well as support for existing TPEs seeking to consolidate or expand their activities.

Regional investment outreach

The group’s commitment was also visible through the third edition of the Régionales de l’Investissement, rolled out in eight stages across Morocco. The initiative brought BCP’s teams and expertise directly to local economic players, helping connect entrepreneurs, investors and regional stakeholders.

With this award, BCP reinforces its positioning as a key banking partner for Morocco’s very small enterprises, while supporting competitiveness, value creation and job generation across the country’s regions.
