Attawfiq Microfinance Secures International MSI 20000 Certification, Boosting Governance Credibility
Attawfiq Microfinance, a subsidiary of the Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) Group, has been awarded the MSI 20000 international certification by independent body COFICERT. The award, presented in Paris on 25 June 2026, validates the institution’s strong financial governance, risk‑management practices and its commitment to sustainable financial inclusion for over 300,000 Moroccan clients.

Attawfiq Microfinance earns MSI 20000 certification
Attawfiq Microfinance, a subsidiary of the Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) Group, was awarded the internationally recognised MSI 20000 certification by independent body COFICERT.
The ceremony took place on 25 June 2026 at Euronext Paris.

- Why it matters: the certification confirms Attawfiq’s solid financial position and its commitment to responsible governance and sustainable financial inclusion.
Attawfiq serves more than 300,000 active clients and manages a loan portfolio exceeding MAD 5 billion, operating through nearly 500 branches across all Moroccan regions.
General Director Hicham Kharrou said the award reflects the institution’s dedication to best‑practice financial governance and will further strengthen trust among customers, partners and investors.
