Morocco Attracts 9.4 Million Tourists in First Half of 2026 – Growth Across Europe and Beyond

Morocco recorded close to 9.4 million visitors by the end of June 2026, a 6 % increase compared with the same period last year. The surge was driven by strong demand from France, Germany, Poland and other key source markets, while overnight stays in classified hotels rose 9 % and travel revenues jumped 14.6 % to 53.8 billion dirhams. The upward trend is reflected across major destinations such as Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca and Ouarzazate, indicating a robust recovery for the tourism sector and a positive outlook for related hospitality and service industries.
