Bourse de Casablanca: MASI Suffers Worst Weekly Drop Since Middle East Conflict
The Casablanca Stock Exchange endured its most challenging week since the Middle Eastern conflict erupted, with the MASI index dropping over 5% across five trading sessions. Geopolitical uncertainty, disrupted Saudi supply chains, and sustained Brent crude prices above $100 have fueled risk aversion. Additional selling pressure from OPCVM investors has compounded the downward trend, reflected in significant declines across both the main MASI 20 index and its ESG and Mid sub-indices.
