Sanlam Maroc Sells 130,000 Salafin Shares, Falls Below 5% Ownership Threshold
The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) reported that Sanlam Maroc sold 130,000 Salafin shares on May 19, 2026, at a price of MAD 450.10 per share. The transaction pushed Sanlam’s stake in Salafin below the 5 % regulatory threshold, leaving it with 26,730 shares (about 0.85 % of the company’s capital). Sanlam plans to pause any further sales of Salafin stock for the next six months.

The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) confirmed that Sanlam Maroc executed a sale of 130,000 Salafin shares on the central market on May 19, 2026, at a unit price of MAD 450.10.
As a result of this transaction, Sanlam Maroc’s holding in Salafin fell below the mandatory 5% participation threshold. The insurer now owns 26,730 shares, representing roughly 0.85% of Salafin’s total capital.
Future Outlook
Sanlam Maroc has indicated that, for the next six months, it will refrain from further selling its remaining Salafin positions, signalling a short‑term pause in market activity for this stock.
