Cosumar's ESG Credentials Reinforced with CGEM Label Renewal
The Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM) has officially renewed the Responsable Sociétale des Entreprises (RSE) label for three Cosumar Group subsidiaries: Cosumar SA, Suta, and Sunabel. Awarded for a three-year term following a recommendation from the awarding committee, this certification follows an evaluation conducted by an independent, CGEM-accredited expert.
The assessment ensures alignment with the CGEM's CSR Charter, structured around nine commitment axes developed in accordance with Moroccan social legislation and universal standards for social and societal responsibility. For Cosumar, this renewal consolidates a long-term CSR approach deployed across all links of the national sugar sector—from upstream agricultural partnerships with farmers in regions like Doukkala, Tadla, Gharb, Loukkos, and Moulouya, to industrial extraction and refining activities.
Beyond institutional recognition, this labeling reflects the continuity of a structured continuous improvement process, serving Morocco's food sovereignty and the sustainable development of sugar-producing territories. It underscores Cosumar's proactive stance on environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic governance within its operational ecosystem.
