Casablanca Stock Exchange Jumps 1.66% on Geopolitical Hope, Erases Annual Losses

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed higher on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, with the MASI index climbing 1.66% to 18,939.74 points, thereby erasing its annual losses and posting a year‑to‑date gain of 0.50%. The rebound was fueled by optimism that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East may ease following signals of a possible U.S.–Iran agreement.
