Casablanca Stock Exchange Gains Momentum as MASI Rises 1% on Thursday
After two days of red, the Casablanca Stock Exchange turned modestly positive on Thursday. The main index (MASI) closed up 1.06% at 18,304.76 points, narrowing the annual under‑performance to -2.87%. Trading volumes remained low, but a handful of stocks delivered notable gains, with BMCI leading the rally.

The Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE) managed to break the red streak that had lasted two sessions. The flagship MASI index ended the day at 18,304.76 points, up 1.06%, narrowing its annual under‑performance to -2.87%.
The broader MASI 20 basket, which tracks the top‑cap stocks, also turned positive, gaining 0.94% to finish at 1,318.51 points.
Trading Activity
Market activity remained cautious. Total turnover on the central market amounted to only 180 million MAD, underscoring a continued reserve among investors.

- LabelVie – 69 million MAD (price fell 0.13% to 3,820 MAD)
- LafargeHolcim Maroc – 17 million MAD
- Managem – 11.9 million MAD
The total market capitalisation stands at roughly 1.055 trillion MAD.
Performance Highlights
Among individual stocks, BMCI posted the best performance, jumping 5.73% to close at 588.90 MAD, partially recouping the previous day’s losses. Delta Holding followed closely with a 5.53% gain, ending at 59.20 MAD.
Overall, Thursday’s modest rally suggests a tentative recovery, but low trading volumes indicate that market participants remain wary.
