CMGP Group Moves to Acquire 70% Stake in SODIPIRE, Expanding Its Agricultural Machinery Portfolio
CMGP Group has submitted a letter of intent to purchase a controlling 70 % share in SODIPIRE, a Moroccan firm that imports and distributes tractors and other farm equipment. The transaction, cleared by the Competition Council, fits the group’s external growth strategy and complements its recent launch of a new seed‑drill range. SODIPIRE, founded in 2013 and based in Berrechid, records annual sales of about 50 million MAD and holds exclusive distribution agreements with global brands such as Hattat, Case‑IH and Antonio Carraro. The acquisition will strengthen CMGP’s one‑stop‑shop model for agricultural professionals and diversify its revenue streams.

CMGP Group Targets Majority Stake in SODIPIRE
CMGP Group has formally submitted a letter of intent to acquire a 70 % controlling interest in SODIPIRE, a leading importer and distributor of tractors and agricultural machinery in Morocco. The move aligns with the group’s aggressive external‑growth plan and aims to broaden its presence in the farm‑equipment sector.
Regulatory Clearance
In compliance with Moroccan law No. 44‑12 governing public savings calls and the AMMC circular No. 03/19 on financial operations, CMGP disclosed the intent to the principal shareholder of SODIPIRE SARL. The proposal has also been pre‑registered with the Competition Council, satisfying all mandatory competition‑law notifications.
Strategic Rationale
The acquisition is a strategic step to consolidate CMGP’s agricultural machinery portfolio. It follows the 2024 launch of the group’s first line of seed drills and reinforces its one‑stop‑shop positioning for professional farmers, offering everything from tractors to precision‑planting equipment under one brand.
