Sanlam Maroc Falls Below 5% Ownership of Salafin After Share Sale

On 19 May 2026, Sanlam Maroc sold 130,000 Salafin shares on the Casablanca Stock Exchange at MAD 450.10 each. The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) confirmed that on 19 May 2026 Sanlam Maroc disposed of 130,000 Salafin shares on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, receiving MAD 450.10 per share.

This sale pushed Sanlam’s holding below the regulatory 5 % participation threshold. The insurer now retains 26,730 Salafin shares, representing roughly 0.85 % of the company’s equity.

According to the issuer, Sanlam plans to halt any further sales of Salafin stock for the next six months, signalling a short‑term pause in its divestment strategy.
