Al Mada Announces New President‑CEO

Friday, 16 January 2026 – The board of directors of Al Mada convened and approved the appointment of Ms. Noufissa Kessar as President‑Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. She succeeds the late Hassan Ouriagli, who passed away earlier this year.

In a formal statement, the board paid tribute to Mr. Ouriagli’s leadership, noting his numerous achievements and unwavering dedication to the group. His vision helped cement Al Mada’s strategic position in both the national and African economies.

Al Mada extended its deepest condolences to Mr. Ouriagli’s family and to all employees, sharing in their grief during this difficult period.

The selection of Ms. Kessar underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainable growth, and operational excellence.

Ms. Kessar’s career has been built within Al Mada. She started at the group’s banking arm, later joining the holding company as Deputy General Manager, where she played a pivotal role in strategic projects and overall group development.

A graduate of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, she spent most of her professional life at Al Mada, initially with Attijariwafa Bank, where she helped launch Attijari Finances Corp before moving to the holding company. She also serves as a director on several Al Mada subsidiaries.

Looking ahead, Ms. Kessar confirmed that Al Mada will continue to strengthen its ongoing development, foster innovation, and boost its contribution to Morocco’s economic and social progress, while staying true to the values set by the Group’s shareholders.
