Casablanca Exchange Closes Higher on Monday Despite Low Trading Volume
The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened the week on a positive note, with the MASI index gaining 0.63% to 17,330.27 points. Limited trading volume of 64 million dirhams saw SGTM lead activity, while several heavyweight stocks posted strong gains, pushing the overall market cap to 970 billion dirhams.

Casablanca Exchange Closes Higher on Monday Despite Low Trading Volume
The main Casablanca index, the MASI, edged up 0.63% on Monday, closing at 17,330.27 points, trimming its year‑to‑date loss to 8.04%.
The MASI‑20, which tracks the biggest caps, also rose 0.69% to 1,317.13 points.
Trading volume was limited, totaling just 64 million dirhams.
SGTM led the activity with 9 million dirhams traded, its price slipping 2.56% to 701.60 dirhams after hitting an intraday high of 720 dirhams. It was followed by Managem, which exchanged 4.47 million dirhams and finished slightly up 0.57% at 8,498 dirhams.
Among the strongest movers, SBM jumped 6.51% to 2,290 dirhams, while AFMA advanced 5.85% to 1,249 dirhams. Conversely, BMCI dropped 4.14% to 600 dirhams.
Overall market capitalisation stood at 970 billion dirhams.
