Market Overview – August 17, 2026
The Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the session in the green. The broad‑based MASI index rose 0.08% to 18,834.22 points, taking its year‑to‑date (YTD) performance to –0.06%.
The MASI 20 index gained 0.11% to 1,360.89 points, although its YTD return remains negative at –8.40%.
The ESG‑focused MASI ESG climbed 0.26% to 1,388.48 points, delivering a strong annual gain of 10.94%. The mid‑cap MASI Mid edged up 0.02% to 1,817.82 points, with a YTD decline of –1.28%.
Cash‑market turnover reached 156.3 million MAD and total market capitalisation stood at MAD 1.10 trillion.
Futures Market
All MASI20 futures contracts posted gains. The June‑July 2027 (JUI27) and March‑2027 (MAR27) contracts rose 0.24% to 1,353.60 and 1,355.60 points respectively. The September‑2026 (SEP26) contract increased 0.12% to 1,360.00 points, while the December‑2026 (DEC26) contract rose 0.13% to 1,357.70 points.
