Bank Al-Maghrib has decided not to hold its scheduled press conference on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, after the conclusion of the electoral campaign.

The central bank explained that the timing coincides with the final hours of the election period, and it wishes to respect democratic principles and maintain institutional neutrality.

The Council meeting itself will still take place, and the official communiqué outlining the decisions, together with the Monetary Policy Report, will be published after the meeting concludes, as is customary.

This decision follows a series of recent developments in the Moroccan financial sector, including the rise of official reserves to 502 billion dirhams and various market‑related updates.
