Reserve growth – At the end of June 2026, Bank Al‑Maghrib’s official reserves rose to 495.8 billion dirhams, up 1 % week‑over‑week, 12 % since the start of the year and 23.4 % year‑on‑year, according to the central bank’s latest weekly bulletin.

Currency performance

During the week of 25 June to 1 July, the Moroccan dirham gained 0.1 % against the U.S. dollar while losing 0.4 % versus the euro. The central bank reported that no spot‑trading auctions were conducted in the foreign‑exchange market during that period.

Bank Al‑Maghrib’s liquidity operations

The average daily volume of the bank’s interventions amounted to 156.6 billion dirhams. This breaks down into:

  • 7‑day advances: 61.6 billion dirhams
  • Long‑term repo (pensions) deliveries: 49.6 billion dirhams
  • Guaranteed loans: 45.4 billion dirhams

Inter‑bank market activity

Daily inter‑bank turnover returned to 1.7 billion dirhams, with the inter‑bank rate stabilising at 2.25 %.

Latest auction (1 July 2026)

For the auction dated 2 July, Bank Al‑Maghrib injected 53.5 billion dirhams through 7‑day advances.
