According to the latest monthly indicators released by the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC), the Moroccan capital market demonstrated strong momentum in April 2026. Total capital raised by the end of April reached 32.752 billion dirhams (MMDH), marking an increase from the 31.408 MMDH recorded during the same period in the previous year.
Breakdown of April's Fundraising
The month of April alone saw a substantial influx of capital totaling 13.298 billion dirhams. The distribution of these funds highlights a preference for short-term instruments:
- Negotiable Debt Securities (TCN): 10.798 MMDH
- Bond Issues: 2.5 MMDH
Securities Lending Trends
In contrast to the fundraising growth, the AMMC noted a slight contraction in the securities lending and borrowing market. The outstanding volume of these operations stood at 49 billion dirhams at the end of April, representing a 7% decline since the start of the year.
