Sothema, a prominent Moroccan pharmaceutical company, has announced its financial results for 2025, showcasing significant growth and strategic advancements. The company reported a consolidated revenue of 3,227 million Moroccan dirhams (MAD), marking a 15% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was achieved across both private and public markets in Morocco's expanding pharmaceutical sector.

Strategic Acquisitions Drive Expansion
The year 2025 was marked by two major strategic acquisitions that significantly expanded Sothema's business scope. The company acquired Soludia, the Moroccan leader in dialysis solutions, positioning itself in a critical public health segment and gaining new industrial and commercial capabilities. Additionally, Sothema signed an agreement with Eli Lilly to acquire the rights to the CIALIS® brand and associated products for the Moroccan market, further diversifying its commercial portfolio.
Innovation and Local Production
Sothema continued to focus on innovation and local production throughout 2025. The company launched 14 new products, including seven manufactured locally. Notable launches included Morocco's first multiple sclerosis treatment based on glatiramer acetate and a biosimilar oncology product targeting prevalent cancers such as breast, lung, and colorectal cancers. These innovations contribute to improving patient access to advanced therapies in Morocco.
Regulatory and Pipeline Development
On the regulatory front, Sothema maintained a robust pace, filing 20 dossiers covering diverse and differentiating segments. The company obtained 18 marketing authorizations and registration certificates, particularly in oncology and rheumatology. Additionally, Sothema's interest in the dietary supplements market was confirmed through registration certificates in this segment.
Investment Strategy
In 2025, Sothema invested 85 million MAD (excluding the Soludia acquisition) in strengthening its industrial capabilities. These investments focused on acquiring new production equipment and improving existing infrastructure, supporting the company's growth trajectory.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Sothema is well-positioned for continued growth in 2026, with a pipeline of 25 new molecules under development and 30 product launches planned in key therapeutic areas. The company will continue to explore growth opportunities both in Morocco and internationally. 2026 will also mark Sothema's 50th anniversary, a significant milestone celebrating its journey and future vision.
Dividend Proposal
The Board of Directors will propose to the next Annual General Meeting a gross dividend of 33 dirhams per share, compared to 28 dirhams for the 2024 financial year, representing a total amount of 252,842,700 MAD.
