Morocco’s Manufacturing Producer Price Index Rises 0.4% in October 2025
The High Commission for Planning (HCP) reported that Morocco’s producer price index (PPI) for manufacturing industries — excluding petroleum refining — climbed 0.4 % in October 2025 versus September. The rise was led by a 2.1 % jump in the chemical sector, while food‑processing, electronics‑optics and rubber‑plastic manufacturing saw modest price declines. Meanwhile, indices for extractive industries, electricity and water remained flat. These movements are part of the broader Industrial, Energy and Mining Producer Price Index (IPPIEM) released by HCP, offering a snapshot of price dynamics across key Moroccan industrial segments.

The High Commission for Planning (HCP) announced that the Producer Price Index (PPI) for Morocco’s "manufacturing industries excluding petroleum refining" rose 0.4 % in October compared with September.
The increase was largely driven by a 2.1 % jump in the chemical industry. At the same time, prices in the food‑processing sector fell 0.1 %, as did those for the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products. The rubber and plastics segment also recorded a 0.4 % decline.
- Chemical industry: +2.1 %
- Food industry: –0.1 %
- IT, electronics & optics manufacturing: –0.1 %
- Rubber & plastics manufacturing: –0.4 %
In contrast, the PPI for "extractive industries", "electricity production and distribution", and "water production and distribution" remained flat throughout October, showing no significant movement.
These figures are part of the broader Industrial, Energy and Mining Producer Price Index (IPPIEM) released by HCP, providing a snapshot of price trends across Morocco’s key industrial segments.
