Allianz Maroc, in a strategic move to keep its merger with Sanlam Maroc on track, announced that Yahia Chraibi will serve as the company’s Interim Chief Executive Officer effective today, April 7, 2026. The Board of Directors, chaired by Jacques Richier, made the appointment in the presence of senior executives from both insurers.

Chraibi, who already sits on the board as General Director of Sanlam Maroc, will juggle dual responsibilities. This arrangement cements the continuity of leadership across both firms and provides a single point of coordination during the transition.

Key aims of this interim arrangement:

  • Maintain day‑to‑day operations without interruption for policyholders and partners.
  • Synchronise strategic priorities and share best practices across the two organisations.
  • Accelerate the integration timeline while ensuring regulatory compliance and transparent communication.

Both Allianz Maroc and Sanlam Maroc emphasise that the collaboration will fortify their market presence, enhance product innovation and deliver a broader range of solutions to clients.

Board Chairman Jacques Richier thanked former interim CEO Fahd Mokdad for his leadership during a challenging period and wished him success in his future endeavours.

All formal regulatory approvals for the appointment have been secured in line with applicable competition law and securities regulations.
