TGCC and SGTM Win Joint Contract to Build Morocco’s New Mohammed V Airport Terminal
Moroccan construction giants TGCC and SGTM have secured a 50‑50 partnership to develop the new terminal at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport. Valued at almost 12 billion dirhams, the project is slated for completion by 2029 and aims to boost the country’s hub capacity and passenger experience. The contract follows a track record of collaboration between the two firms, notably the 3.2 billion‑dirham Benslimane stadium. The mega‑project will significantly expand each company’s order book and reinforce Morocco’s push to modernise its aviation infrastructure.

Joint Venture Wins International Tender
TGCC and SGTM, two of Morocco’s leading construction groups, have been awarded the contract for the new terminal at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport. The award follows a competitive international tender and the total value of the project is estimated at 12 billion dirhams.
Scope, Timeline and Share Structure
The terminal is scheduled for completion by 2029. Both companies will hold an equal share of the contract, each responsible for 50 % of the work and the associated investment.
Strategic Importance
The new facility is a cornerstone of Morocco’s broader effort to modernise its national airport network, driven by rising air‑traffic volumes and the country’s ambition to become a regional hub. The terminal will increase the capacity of the Kingdom’s main airport and enhance passenger services and operational flow.
Impact on Order Books
Given the size and the multi‑year horizon of the contract, TGCC and SGTM can expect a substantial boost to their order books, providing greater visibility and revenue stability over the coming years.
Previous Collaboration
This is not the first joint project for the two groups. They previously partnered on the construction of the Benslimane stadium, a venture valued at 3.2 billion dirhams.
