Moroccan Port Activity Surges 14.4% in First Half of 2026
Morocco’s ports handled a total of 148.6 million tonnes of cargo by the end of June 2026, marking a 14.4 % increase over the same period last year. The surge was driven mainly by a 28.6 % jump in trans‑shipment volumes, while domestic traffic remained flat, signalling robust growth in the country’s maritime logistics corridor.

Passenger & Cruise Activity
Passenger traffic: 1.6 million passengers (↓0.3%).
Cruise ships: 174,366 cruise tourists (↑2.4%).
Fishing Landings
Coastal and artisanal marine fish landings fell to 367,184 tonnes, a decrease of 6.3% YoY.
