Morocco's Futures Market Set to Debut on April 6
Morocco’s long‑awaited futures market will officially launch on 6 April, announced by Finance Minister Nadia Fettah at the APSB conference. The rollout introduces the country’s first derivative products, starting with an index futures contract, and is expected to boost risk‑management tools, broaden investment strategies and improve overall market liquidity.

Rabat, 9 February 2026 – Morocco’s long‑awaited futures market will be officially launched on 6 April, Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah announced this morning at the annual conference of the Professional Association of Brokerage Firms (APSB).
The launch marks a structural milestone for the national financial system, introducing the first derivative products, starting with an index futures contract.
Market participants expect the new platform to enhance risk‑management capabilities, broaden portfolio‑construction strategies and, over time, improve market liquidity and efficiency.
