Key Meeting in Washington

On 14 April 2026, Finance Minister Nadia Fettah El Ouaradi held talks with Abdulhamid Al Khalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development, on the sidelines of the World Bank and IMF Spring Meetings.

Signing of the Country Partnership Framework

The two leaders signed a Country Partnership Framework (CPF) covering 2026‑2028 with an indicative envelope of around €500 million. The CPF is designed to:

  • Support sustainable, inclusive growth;
  • Strengthen macro‑economic resilience;
  • Invest in human capital development.

Strategic Priorities

The OPEC Fund pledged to back Morocco’s priority projects in strategic sectors such as renewable energy, agribusiness, and skills training, aligning with the Kingdom’s long‑term development agenda.
