Casablanca Stock Exchange MASI Posts Best Weekly Gain Since April, Erases Annual Losses
The Casablanca Stock Exchange kept its rally alive on Friday, with the flagship MASI index jumping 2.08% to 18,864 points, delivering a 5.72% weekly gain—the strongest since April 2026. The index also turned positive for the year, up 0.09% since the start of 2026. Trading volume stayed robust at 592 million MAD, driven mainly by the mining sector, while Managem, Maroc Telecom and Attijariwafa Bank led the most active shares.

Market Overview
The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed Friday on a firm up‑trend. The flagship MASI index rose 2.08% to 18,864 points, lifting its weekly performance to 5.72% – the strongest gain recorded since April 2026. On a YTD basis the MASI erased its earlier losses and now shows a modest +0.09% increase.
The broader MASI 20 followed the same trajectory, climbing 2.15% to 1,370.55 points. However, the index of the largest‑cap stocks remains down 7.75% year‑to‑date.
Trading activity stayed vigorous on the main market, with a total turnover of 592 million MAD, heavily supported by the mining compartment.

- Maroc Telecom posted a turnover of 74 million MAD, gaining 2.03% to 100.50 MAD.
