Casablanca Stock Exchange Partners with Maroc PME to Accelerate SME Growth and Capital Access
In line with Morocco’s national strategy to boost the competitiveness and growth of micro, small and medium‑sized enterprises (MSMEs), the Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE) and the National Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium‑Sized Enterprises (Maroc PME) have signed a strategic framework agreement.
The partnership, signed on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, by CSE Managing Director Nasser Seddiqi and Maroc PME Director General Anouar Alaoui Ismaili, aims to create a collaborative framework that strengthens the structuring, resilience, competitiveness and expansion of MSMEs, preparing them for access to market‑based financing.
Key objectives include:
- Establishing a joint orientation and matchmaking mechanism to connect high‑potential firms with appropriate listing pathways.
- Enhancing capacities through shared training programmes on eligibility criteria, corporate governance and transparency requirements.
- Promoting the cooperation by co‑organising events, regional meetings and awareness campaigns on capital‑market financing options and Maroc PME’s support schemes.
“The CSE re‑affirms its role as a long‑term financing lever for the real economy,” said Seddiqi. “This agreement will allow us to identify and guide the most promising companies, equipping them with the skills needed to meet the demands of the stock market and to nurture genuine national champions.”
Ismaili added, “The PACTE TPME marks a paradigm shift, endorsing a territorial, sector‑agnostic approach that covers the full life‑cycle of a business. Its implementation relies on strengthened partnerships, such as the one with the CSE, to ensure effective execution.”
The agreement symbolises the shared commitment of both institutions to pool expertise, networks and resources, fostering a more integrated, transparent and efficient SME support ecosystem in Morocco.
