Casablanca Stock Exchange MASI Index Slides 0.3% as Traders Shift to Red
The Casablanca Stock Exchange erased its early‑session gains on Thursday, with the flagship MASI index slipping 0.29% to 17,667.10 points. The broader market saw a total turnover of 174 million Moroccan dirhams, led by Attijariwafa Bank, Managem and Marsa Maroc among the most actively traded stocks.

MASI Index Turns Red in Late Session
The Casablanca Stock Exchange wiped out its early‑session optimism on Thursday, with the MASI index closing at 17,667.10 points, down 0.29%. The broader MASI‑20 basket also slipped, losing 0.43% to 1,305.77 points and recording a year‑to‑date decline of 12.11%.
On the central market, total transaction value reached 174 million Moroccan dirhams. Attijariwafa Bank topped the activity list with a trading volume of 37 million dirhams, though its share fell 0.72% to 675 dirhams. Managem followed with 18 million dirhams exchanged, down 0.20% at 12,675 dirhams. Marsa Maroc rounded out the top three with 13 million dirhams traded, slipping 1.15% to 14,299 dirhams.
- Top Gainer: M2M surged 6.92% to 384.90 dirhams.
- Top Loser: SMI dropped 4.59% to 6,010 dirhams.
At the close, the market’s total capitalization stood at roughly 1,010 billion dirhams.
