Casablanca Stock Exchange posts modest gains amid diplomatic optimism
Monday’s trading session at the Casablanca Stock Exchange ended on a slightly positive note. The benchmark MASI index rose 0.21 % to 18,391.12 points, narrowing its year‑to‑date decline to –2.42 %. The broader MASI 20 index, which tracks the largest caps, remained virtually unchanged at 1,337.43 points.
Market activity was modest, with a total turnover of MAD 159 million on the main market. TotalEnergies led the pack, accounting for MAD 40.8 million of traded value and closing up 0.13 % at MAD 1,539. Cosumar followed with MAD 37 million in volume, gaining 0.32 % to close at MAD 187.50.

At the close of the session, the market capitalisation of the Casablanca exchange stood at MAD 1.057 trillion.
